For the past two weeks, the blog has been full of wedding inspired tutorials. These projects were specially designed to give as wedding favors or gifts. Bath and body products are a great way to thank your loved ones for sharing your special day. They are also easy to customize with colors and fragrances to suit your wedding&#8217;s theme and vibe. All the tutorials were made with a gold and pink color scheme that&#8217;s wonderfully feminine and romantic.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-57145 aligncenter" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/WeddingProjects2.jpg" alt="WeddingProjects2" width="700" height="530" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/WeddingProjects2.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/WeddingProjects2-365x275.jpg 365w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/WeddingProjects2-300x227.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/WeddingProjects2-660x500.jpg 660w" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>
<p><span id="more-57141"></span><br />
The first project in this series were <a href="https://soapqueen.live/bath-and-body-tutorials/say-i-do-create-customizable-soap-wedding-favors/" target="_blank">cold process soap favors.</a> It uses the <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/36-Bar-Unfinished-Birchwood-Mold-P5167.aspx" target="_blank">36 Bar Birchwood Mold</a> and the <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Guest-Dividers-for-36-bar-Birch-Mold-makes-72-bars-P4876.aspx" target="_blank">Guest Dividers for 36 Bar Birch Mold</a> to make 72 guest sized bars. The soap uses <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Electric-Bubble-Gum-Colorant-P4966.aspx" target="_blank">Electric Bubble Gum Colorant</a> for a light pink color and is dusted with <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Gold-Sparkle-Mica-P3063.aspx" target="_blank">Gold Sparkle Mica</a>. They are scented with <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Lily-Of-The-Valley-Cybilla-Fragrance-Oil-P3386.aspx" target="_blank">Lily of the Valley Cybilla Fragrance Oil</a> for a light floral smell. The best thing about this project is it only takes about 1-2 hours to make 72 bars! If you&#8217;re having a smaller wedding, that might cover all the favors. Just make sure the soaps are made 4-6 weeks ahead of time to allow them to cure.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-56888 aligncenter" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/ColdProcessWeddingFavor_edited-1.jpg" alt="ColdProcessWeddingFavor_edited-1" width="700" height="1050" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/ColdProcessWeddingFavor_edited-1.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/ColdProcessWeddingFavor_edited-1-200x300.jpg 200w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/ColdProcessWeddingFavor_edited-1-333x500.jpg 333w" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>
<p>If you&#8217;re not a cold process soap maker, there are plenty of project options. One of the easiest are <a href="https://soapqueen.live/bath-and-body-tutorials/nail-polish-wedding-favors-diy/" target="_blank">Nail Polish Wedding Favors</a>. To make nail polish, all you have to do is add the colorant of your choice to the <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Suspending-Nail-Polish-Base-P5261.aspx" target="_blank">Suspending Nail Polish Base</a> and shake, shake, shake! If you&#8217;d like to see the process in action, check out <a href="https://soapqueen.live/bath-and-body-tutorials/how-to-make-nail-polish-video/" target="_blank">this Soap Queen TV video</a>. Making nail polish is also a fun group activity, and would be perfect for a bridal shower. Jen of <a href="http://somethingturquoise.com/" target="_blank">Something Turquoise</a> created her own “Nail Polish Bar.” <a href="http://somethingturquoise.com/2014/12/19/how-to-make-your-own-nail-polish/" target="_blank">Click here</a> to see her adorable set up and ideas.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-56915 aligncenter" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Final-1.jpg" alt="Final" width="700" height="500" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Final-1.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Final-1-300x214.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Final-1-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>
<p>Soaks and scrubs are another quick and easy project, which is perfect if you need to make a lot of them. In the <a href="https://soapqueen.live/bath-and-body-tutorials/56981/" target="_blank">DIY Soaking Salt &amp; Scrub Wedding Favor Tutorial</a>, <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Avocado-Oil-P3198.aspx" target="_blank">avocado oil</a> is combined with <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Fine-Grained-Dead-Sea-Salt-P4085.aspx" target="_blank">Dead Sea salt</a>. The soaks are customized with two different scent and color combinations  <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Sweet-Pea-Fragrance-Oil-P3352.aspx" target="_blank">Sweet Pea Fragrance Oil</a> with <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Rose-Gold-Mica-P6226.aspx" target="_blank">Rose Gold Mica</a> and <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Tobacco-Bay-Leaf-Fragrance-Oil-P5801.aspx" target="_blank">Tobacco and Bay Leaf Fragrance Oil</a> with <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Kings-Gold-Mica-P6224.aspx" target="_blank">King&#8217;s Gold Mica</a>. These soaks can also be used as scrubs by applying the salt to damp skin and scrubbing.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-56991 aligncenter" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Soaking-Salt-Wedding-Favors.jpg" alt="Soaking Salt Wedding Favors" width="700" height="500" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Soaking-Salt-Wedding-Favors.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Soaking-Salt-Wedding-Favors-300x214.jpg 300w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Soaking-Salt-Wedding-Favors-160x115.jpg 160w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>
<p>If you prefer home crafts, candles make a great gift. Who doesn&#8217;t love a candle? To fit with the rose and gold theme, half of the <a href="https://soapqueen.live/bath-and-body-tutorials/home-crafts/wedding-favor-candles-diy/" target="_blank">DIY Wedding Favor Candles</a> are colored with a <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Red-Wax-Dye-Block-P4464.aspx" target="_blank">Red Wax Dye Block</a> for a light pink color. The pink candles are scented with <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Sweet-Pea-Fragrance-Oil-P3352.aspx" target="_blank">Sweet Pea Fragrance Oil</a> for guests who prefer a sweet scent, and the white candles are scented with <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Tobacco-Bay-Leaf-Fragrance-Oil-P5801.aspx" target="_blank">Tobacco and Bay Leaf Fragrance Oil</a> for a more masculine option.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-56954 aligncenter" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Wedding-Favor-Candle-DIY.jpg" alt="Wedding Favor Candle DIY" width="700" height="1023" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Wedding-Favor-Candle-DIY.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Wedding-Favor-Candle-DIY-205x300.jpg 205w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Wedding-Favor-Candle-DIY-342x500.jpg 342w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>
<p>Don&#8217;t leave the guys at your wedding or party feeling left out. Beard oil is incredibly easy to make, and helps tame even the burliest of facial hair. To see how it&#8217;s made, check out the <a href="https://soapqueen.live/bath-and-body-tutorials/diy-argan-jojoba-beard-oil/" target="_blank">Argan &amp; Jojoba Beard Oil video</a> on <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCStN08hkQ1321WVdFqWD2-w" target="_blank">Soap Queen TV</a> below. The recipe contains <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/CaprylicCapric-Triglycerides-Fractionated-Coconut-Oil-P4957.aspx" target="_blank">fractionated coconut oil</a>, <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Jojoba-Oil-Golden-P3219.aspx" target="_blank">jojoba oil</a> and <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Argan-Oil-P5574.aspx" target="_blank">argan oil</a> for a lightweight and skin-loving formula. The oil can also be used as a massage oil, bath oil, hair serum or facial oil. Beard oil makes the perfect gift for groomsmen.</p>

<p>To give your favors a polished look, we created these <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/DIY-Wedding-Labels-Digital-Download-P6539.aspx" target="_blank">DIY Wedding Labels</a>. The template is free. Simply download the template and print the labels on card stock or <a href="https://www.brambleberry.com/Waterproof-Labels-P3005.aspx" target="_blank">Waterproof Labels</a>. The download includes labels for candles, handmade soap, soaking salts and beard oil. There is also a blank template if you&#8217;d like it to customize the label.</p>

Thanks so much for the inspiration Jen, take it away! -A.M. </em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">—————</p>
<p>Hi there soapy mavens! My name is Jen and I write a wedding blog called <a href="http://somethingturquoise.com/" target="_blank">Something Turquoise</a>, the only wedding blog that truly embraces the DIY bride. That is why I have the pleasure of being here on Soap Queen during DIY wedding week!</p>
<p>I would personally call myself a hardcore DIY-er, but I completely understand if you are not. So let&#8217;s say you are a creative bride who wants to make a few special things to give that unique touch to your wedding day, but without burning your fingers on a hot glue gun or breaking the bank on crafting tools you might not use again. Well you are in luck, because today I’m breaking down the 5 easiest projects to DIY for your wedding!</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-56968 size-full" src="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Jen-Carreiro-SomethingTurquoise.jpg" alt="Jen-Carreiro-SomethingTurquoise" width="700" height="478" srcset="https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Jen-Carreiro-SomethingTurquoise.jpg 700w, https://eadn-wc05-18592439.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Jen-Carreiro-SomethingTurquoise-300x205.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>
<p>In discussing these 5 projects, I want you to keep in mind that I’m not telling you to arrange your own flowers, make your own invitations or sew your own dress, because those details are large scale projects that will take specialized expertise and lots of time. The ideas below are easy because they are not only quick, but you also don’t have to make a ton of them (like favors). Many brides think making favors is easy &#8211; and although the favor itself might be easy to create, you’ll still have to make anywhere from 100-200 of them. The details I’m showcasing pack a special punch and will make your day ultra personal without making you go DIY crazy. How detailed you get with these items is up to you and your skill level, but any type of crafty bride will be able to execute these ideas with ease!</p>
<p><strong>1. WILL YOU BE MY BRIDESMAID GIFTS<br />
</strong>This is an absolute must now a days, so you might as well get creative with it! Take a little extra time to handcraft something special for your besties because you know they’ll truly appreciate it. Whether assembling a large gift box packed full of fun items or just a special handmade card, your love will shine through this project. You can easily search Pinterest or Google for great ideas that will fit your theme and style. Many sites, like mine, even offer free printable designs!</p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><span id="more-56918"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>2. MR. &amp; MRS. RECEPTION CHAIR SIGNS<br />
</strong>This is such a sweet new trend! Making your own “Mr. &amp; Mrs.” or “Bride + Groom” or “His and Hers” reception chair signs can be SO easy! They could be made of anything from recycled wood to craft paper and ribbon. It’s easy to take ideas that you find online and morph them into something that will perfectly match your theme and the chairs they will be hanging on. I love this project because it’s a quick one since you only have to make two and it will make for the most darling pictures!</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>3. YOUR “SOMETHING BLUE”<br />
</strong>The “Something old, new, borrowed and blue” tradition is my favorite; hence my blog name “something turquoise“. This is a little detail that you can really have some fun with! Again, super simple because it’s just one little thing &#8211; and super sweet for pictures. From blue embroidery, blue nails, a blue heart sewn inside your dress, a sweet DIY keepsake charm, or maybe even painting the bottom of your shoes blue (my fav!!!) &#8211; craft something special for your something blue that speaks to you and your personality.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>4. GUEST BOOK!<br />
</strong>Yes &#8211; the guest book! No longer do we need to have the old-school book that our parents did, where their guests just wrote their names on the first few pages which is now in a box in the attic somewhere with cobwebs. No offense to them. <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f642.png" alt="🙂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Your guest book is the perfect opportunity to create a super special, unique keepsake. Again, you only have to create one &#8211; and because <strong>all</strong> your guests will see and touch it &#8211; it’s the perfect item to DIY. Get creative and brainstorm with your groom about what interactive idea best represents you as a couple and what item you will actually enjoy after your wedding!</p>

<p><strong>5. TABLE NUMBERS<br />
</strong>To me, this is the best project to DIY hands down. In thinking of items that will make an impact on your guests – table numbers are a big one! Table numbers after all are how your guests find their seat for the night. There are loads of amazing options out there for creative table numbers but you have to look at your wedding theme, personality and relationship to see what will work best. This last idea happens to be the largest project on the list (but is so totally doable) since you will be making 10-20ish numbers. Send your guests to their seats in crafty DIY bride style!</p>
